NC SC: Kotoko progress to semi's, Medeama beat Berekum Chelsea (+league log)

Two matches well honoured in the Ghana football association normalization committee special cup as one was rained off and others continue on Saturday and Sunday.



Dorma based Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko played a 1-1 game after 90 minutes. It all started after Emmanuel Gyamfi broke the deadlock after scoring a fantastic goal for Asante Kotoko at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park.

Few minutes Abdul Rahman Fatawu equalised for Aduana Stars to pair the game at 1-1 scores.

The attention of the game went up as both sides fought hard to win all the maximum three points but all failed as keepers saved their teams.

The Porcupine Warriors now have 22 points and progresses to the next stage of the tourney.

Though Asante Kotoko are through to the semi finals of the NC Special cup but they have to wait for Techiman eleven wonders and AshantiGold game which will be played tomorrow because a win for AshGold will see them topping the group.

Meanwhile, Medeama Sporting Club now occupies the second spot of the zone A league log after defeating visiting side 2-0 Berekum Chelsea by two goals to nil.  Tahiru Awudu and Isaac Agyenim Boateng were on target for the Tarkwa based side and win helped them to qualify into the semifinals of the normalization committee special cup.

As at now Medeama haven't qualify despite the win because if AshGold wins tomorrow they will have 23 points and always lead the zone A table and also qualify alongside Asante Kotoko but if AshGold fail to win Medeama will go through.

Elsewhere at Nkoranza School Park, The miners AshantiGold game against Techiman eleven wonders has been halted after a heavy downpour at Nkoranza School Park.

Before it Appiah McCarthy put AshantiGold ahead after he scored through a free kick.

It has been rescheduled  to Friday 24th May, 2019 at the Nkoranza Children’s  Park. The game was called off in the 40th minute

It will continue from the 40th minute at 10:00 am on Friday.
