WAFU U17: Ghana defeat Ivory Coast

Ghana Black Starlets team 

Ghana's junior national team the Black Starlets 🌟 defeated their opponent Ivory Coast to reached the final of the WAFU U17 tournament.

The Starlets side scored two goals in the first department of the game after Traore Seidu scored for Ivory Coast in the early minutes of the game at the Stade Général Seyni Kountché in Niamey.

Captain Alhassan Uzair equalized for Black Starlets through a corner-kick from Samuel Appiah Asamoah on the 40th minute.

Ghana lifted their game which resulted to another goal few minutes to the end of first half by striker Taufiq Shaibu.

The Ivorians mounted pressure upon pressure on Ghana side in order to level scores and even win the game but it couldn't materialized as the Starlets stood firm to protect their poles.

Goalkeeper David Kudjo made brilliant saves in the second half to deny the Ivory Coast U17 side from scoring again.

Ten minutes to time, Eugene Adjei Frimpong was sent off for a second yellow card.

Ghana will play with the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria after they also defeated Niger.
