Abena Owusu Nyamekye quits EIB Network

One may ask what's happening at EIB network as another great female news anchor in the person of Abena Owusu Nyamekye, has also left GhOne TV, just 10 days in 2018, though is not news in the media circle.

www.entertainmentgh.com can confirm that, the news Abena tendered her resignation letter to her employers on Monday, January 8, 2o18, citing personal reasons for her decision to quit. As usual, Executives of the network are said to have tried to convince her to stay, but she stuck to her resolution to move on.

She becomes the three females to leave the station some few months back after Naa Ashorkor and AJ Sarpong, who moved to Multimedia and Citi FM respectively somewhere last Year, 2017.

As per the rules of the Network, employees are to tender their resignation 1 months before its effect, so, Abena will no longer be on air by February 8, 2018!

Abena started her media stint in Accra with Starr 103.5 (then Power FM) after moving from Kumasi, where she worked with Kapital Radio and KFM respectively.

At EIB, Abena anchored the news at Starr 103.5FM before making a move to television where she handled the news on ‘GhOne News’. She was also used extensively as a sit-in for Nana Aba Anamoah for the political talk show program, ‘State of Affairs’.
